Workers
Workers are hired NPCs who run skill sessions independently while you play. You manage them from the Inn in the Town screen.
Slots
There are two worker slots:
- Slot 1 is reserved for the Long Laborer, a low-cost generalist who works slowly but never needs replacing.
- Slot 2 accepts a Skilled Worker (Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master). Each day a new pool of workers is available to hire; you choose the tier.
Each worker has a daily name that changes at 6 AM. Firing and rehiring on the same day gives you a new random name from the same pool.
Worker Tiers
| Tier | Session Duration | Efficiency | Hire Cost | Gathering Output | Crafting Output |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Long Laborer | 8h | 0.50× | 5,000 | 4.0× | Uncapped (2 min/item) |
| Apprentice | 8h | 1.00× | 10,000 | 8.0× | 480 items |
| Journeyman | 6h | 1.25× | 20,000 | 7.5× | 360 items |
| Master | 4h | 2.00× | 50,000 | 8.0× | 240 items |
Gathering output = session hours × efficiency multiplier, applied to all gathering loot and XP at collect time. Crafting output shows the maximum number of items processed per session (Long Laborer takes 2 min/item; all others take 1 min/item).
