Workers

Workers are hired NPCs who run skill sessions independently while you play. You manage them from the Inn in the Town screen.

Slots

There are two worker slots:

Every hire is one job per hire: the worker is dismissed as soon as you collect their session, in both slots. Hire a new worker to keep that slot working.

Each worker has a daily name that changes at 6 AM. Firing and rehiring on the same day gives you a new random name from the same pool.

Worker Tiers

Tier Session Duration Efficiency Hire Cost Gathering Output Crafting Output
Long Laborer 8h 0.50× 5,000 4.0× Uncapped (2 min/item)
Apprentice 8h 1.00× 10,000 8.0× 480 items
Journeyman 6h 1.50× 20,000 9.0× 540 items (40 sec/item)
Master 4h 2.00× 50,000 8.0× 480 items (30 sec/item)

Gathering output = session hours × efficiency multiplier, applied to all gathering loot and XP at collect time. Crafting output shows the maximum number of items processed per session. Per-item time scales with efficiency (1 min/item at 1.0× efficiency; faster above, slower below) — the per-item rate is noted where it differs from that 1 min/item baseline.
