Hoe tier efficiency multiplier
Depending on the difference in tier between the hoe used for harvesting, and the level required for harvesting crops, you can receive an additional mult to your standard tool efficiency. The effect of this is that when you're harvesting lower tier crops your tool has a much higher efficiency with all the bonuses that entails.
For normal tools, their tier is determined by their minimum level required to equip. For the Heirloom Hoe, its tier is defined by your current farming level. The heirloom's tool efficiency itself is calculated separately as described in Heirlooms.
For crops, the tier depends on the minimum required level for harvesting the relevant crops.
The level ranges for each tier are shown below:
| Tier | Level Range | Tools | crops |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1-14 | Bronze Hoe, Iron Hoe | Potato, Magic Bean, Onion, Cabbage |
| 2 | 15-29 | Steel Hoe | Carrot, Tomato, Corn |
| 3 | 30-54 | Mithril Hoe, Adamantite Hoe | Pumpkin, Watermelon, Strawberry, Magic Herb |
| 4 | 55-69 | Dwarven Hoe, Runite Hoe | Dragon Fruit, Golden Wheat |
| 5 | 70-84 | Spirit Herb | |
| 6 | β₯85 | Divine Hoe | Celestial Bloom, Starfruit, Void Lotus |
The exact multiplier you get applied to your tool efficiency depends on the tier difference as calculated using the formula: . The tool efficiency is multiplied as per the table below (β indicates no mult applied)

π« The Magic Bean
Deep in the soil of Gielinor, something stirs.
Farmers whisper of a rare, unusual seed -- unlike any other. It has been known to appear, once in a great while, as a surprise among a harvest. Some say it responds to the earth differently. Some say it grows... impossibly tall.
Its true nature is unclear. Those who have found one speak only in riddles.
"I planted it and waited. I am still waiting." "The notes it left me were unsettling." "I climbed. I will say no more."
Obtaining one requires patience. A lucky harvest may be all it takes. Plant it in any empty patch when you are ready. Do not expect a quick answer.
