Elder Armor Set
The Elder set is the isle's headline reward and Idle Fantasy's best-in-slot armor for either region. All 8 pieces are one-time crafts from the isle Smithing tab; each piece consumes 5 Ancient Sigils in addition to its normal materials, so a full set costs 40 Ancient Sigils end-to-end. The set is also the gate for the final story quest, so completing it unlocks the Last Elder fight.
Weapons are unchanged. Endgame weapons live in the Heirlooms system and are unaffected by the isle.
The chain
The set has three intermediate tiers you climb through before Elder pieces open up. Each tier's helm/body/legs/boots feed the next tier's material demands, and the elder-level requirements march in lockstep with the mainland Smithing curve you already know.

The signet ring and amulet embed a stone directly into the piece as part of their recipe (ruby in the ring, sapphire in the amulet), so those two pieces come sigil-active out of the forge.
Sigil sockets
Every Elder piece has one socket for a sigil stones. The stone in that socket applies globally; you can respec by embedding a different stone, but the old stone is destroyed. See the sigil stones page for effects.
The Ancient Signet
The 9th equip slot, Ancient Signet, is not part of the crafting chain. It drops only from the Last Elder boss and appears on your character sheet the moment you loot one. Until then, the signet slot is hidden from the gear picker so it does not sit there as an empty tease.
The signet's slot is called signet and stacks alongside ring and amulet. Stats: +25 attack, +30 strength, +25 defense. No sigil socket.
Progress order most players end up on
- Farm Beach & Cliffs for early sigils while working the four gathering skills to 60+.
- Smith Coastal → Grove → Volcanic pieces as tiers unlock.
- Grind Ancient Forest and Volcano Peak for the sigil bulk. Sacred Wood and Elder Essence build here too, so shop-buys start feeling reasonable.
- Craft Elder pieces one at a time as you cross the 5-sigil-per-piece thresholds. Skip the shield if you use a 2-handed weapon.
- Craft the full set. The final story quest unlocks. Fight the Last Elder.
